Time to Say Goodbye
Relationships aren’t easy. We fall in love, break up and meet someone else to love and share life with. Sometimes, people stay together because they’re too scared to leave and be lonely. Children, finances, the risk of not having another person to share good and bad things with and rely on greatly contribute to settling with what we have. It’s better to continue like we are and not start again and take a chance on what might not be as good as we think and want it to be.
SETTLING FOR LESS THAN WE DESERVE ISN’T AN OPTION IN THE LONG RUN.
The longer we stay the more we’ll start to resent the other person and blame them for everything that’s wrong in our lives.
Working through issues can improve things but unless both want to make the effort one will leave sooner or later irrelevant of history, common values and family.
WHEN’S THE RIGHT TIME TO SAY GOODBYE AND MOVE ON?
No one can answer that question except the people who are involved. Some things aren’t negotiable, if the love and respect don’t exist anymore and if the only reason for staying is the fear of ending up lonely and coping without the other person. Violence and bullying are unacceptable.
Breaking up is hard to do but necessary to get the best life.
