Kindness

Some time ago, I read a book about kindness and the conscious decision to be kind regardless of what goes on around me and personal feelings. The book made a big impression and confirmed how much it means to be kind and the best version of me.

KINDNESS IS EASY IF WE KNOW HOW AND CAN FIND THE TIME.

For me it’s about the small things we rarely get the time to do, such as greeting a stranger we recognise in the street, complementing someone on how they look, and paying extra attention to the person standing behind us in the queue in the grocery store. A kind smile and offering to help an older person carry their bags.
I feel just as happy to be the recipient especially on a bad day when everything I’ve been looking forward to goes wrong. A friendly smile and kind comments can turn a hopeless day into an extraordinary day. Kindness is free and improves everyone’s life.
